March 19
Before we left for our tour we presented a framed athletic Colonel By crest to the principal and vice principal of the school thanking them for their hospitality and participation.

A very full day of touring as we went to Verdun, the site of trench warfare in WWI. We had an excellent tour guide who dramatically told the story of the area's devastation, as well as the bravery of the soldiers. The students went : to the museum and memorial, toured the cold damp tunnels of the fort, ran like soldiers through a zigzag depression in the woods, and had a trolley multimedia ride (somewhat like a Epcot ride ) through the citadel .
We arrived back during the evening where students went home for their last weekend with their families .

Pictures to come when I have full computer/ wifi access that can read my camera card.
